Did Paul ever preach the Kingdom Gospel? I would say based on my limited knowledge that all the Acts 2 Dispensationalists would answer this question by saying "No." I would also say based on my limited knowledge that most of the Mid Acts Dispensationalists would answer this question by saying "No." From my study of the Bible I am going to say Paul, at least in his early ministry, preached elements of the Kingdom Gospel. Why do I say this?
Consider Matthew 3:1-8 where John the Baptist is preaching:
[1] In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
[2] And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[3]
For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The
voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord,
make his paths straight.
[4] And the same John had his raiment
of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat
was locusts and wild honey.
[5] Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
[6] And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
[7]
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his
baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you
to flee from the wrath to come?
[8] Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Is the above passage the Kingdom message or the Gospel of the Grace of God? It is Kingdom!
Now connsider Acts 26:15-20 where Paul states what he had been preaching:
15] And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
[16]
But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for
this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things
which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear
unto thee;
[17] Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
[18]
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from
the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins,
and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
[19] Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
[20]
But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and
throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they
should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
Does Matthew 3:8 match Acts 26:20? I would say yes. If Matthew 3:8 is part of the Kingdom message, then I would have to conclude Acts 26:20 is part of the Kingdom message as well. Contrary to the Acts 2 and Mid Acts Dispensational positions, Paul clearly at least preached elements of the Kingdom message. The Acts 2 and Mid Acts Dispensationalists will do theological gymnastics to make Paul somehow be preaching the Gospel of the Grace of God in Acts 26:20. Have you ever heard a Mid Acts Dispensationalist preach Acts 26:20 to the Body of Christ? I have not. Do you know why? The honest answer is Acts 26:20 is a Kingdom message and not a message for the Body of Christ under Grace!
