As you know if you have read much of my blog I approach the Bible from a Believing, Dispensational, and Right Division point of view. I take the command to rightly divide the word of truth seriously. Most books of the Bible (Gen-Acts & Heb-Rev) contain most, if not all, "prophecy doctrine" for Israel. It is in Paul's epistles that the "mystery doctrine" for the Body of Christ is found. Just keep in mind Paul wrote some books before Israel was nationally set aside at Acts 28, so those early epistles often contain elements that will not apply to the Body of Christ after Acts 28. For example, among many, consider what Paul wrote in 1 Cor 8:13 (before Acts 28) not to offend a brother in the things we eat. However; Paul supersedes that instruction in Col 2:16 (written after Acts 28) by stating, "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink..." In light of this Paul's early writings must be judged by his later writings and new or differing instruction in the later writings supersede the earlier ones.
In light of the above let me be clear all of the Bible (Gen-Rev) is for the Body of Christ, although all of it will not contain doctrine for the Body of Christ. This is even true of portions of the Pauline epistles, especially the early epistles before Acts 28. Remember Paul's instruction for studying the Bible is two fold: "Rightly Divide" (2 Tim 2:15) and "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things" (2 Tim 2:7). I also will point out these instructions are given in a post Acts 28 epistle and possibly the last book of the Bible written.
