Does God Direct the Way of Grace Believers

I have heard some grace believers that teach God is not concerning Himself at all with the daily activity of believers.  Some teach that God never intervenes under grace even in answer to prayer.  I think those that teach these things see the error of the charismatics and have gone to the other extreme in over correcting the charismatic theology.  Although some grace believers do not believe God intervenes in answer to prayer, the apostle Paul did, even after the Acts period was over.  Consider Paul's words in
Philemon 1:22 KJV — But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.  This verse makes it sound like God intervenes sometimes because of believers praying.
Even the "hyper" E W Bullinger believed God worked in and directed the lives of believers and he certainly was not charismatic in theology.  Note the following article from Things to Come Journal, September 1910, the editorial article entitled "Hebrews XI."

I am certainly taking the words of Scripture by Paul over the teaching of anybody else, even if they are a grace believer.  I also put much more stock in the teachings of E W Bullinger, although he was not infallible, than most modern grace teachers.  The reason being is that it seems most modern grace teachers have become sectarian and will not consider any opinion contrary to their favorite grace celebrity teacher.  The modern attitude seems to be, "I am of Stam, I am of O'hair, I am of Feldick, I am of Jordan, etc."  In contrast Bullinger would allow others to write articles in Things to Come Journal in which he did not fully agree with.
