God's Way of Speaking in Different Dispensations

 1.  In the Old Testament God spoke by the prophets:  Hebrews 1:1 ¶God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2.  During the "Dispensation of the Gospels" God spoke by his son:  Hebrews 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3.  During the "Dispensation of Acts" God spoke by the Holy Spirit:  John 16:13 KJV — Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

4.  In the present "Dispensation of Grace" God is speaking by the inspired writings of the Apostle Paul:  2 Timothy 2:7 KJV — Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
